Globe-Trotting Family Day (all ages)

10:00am – 2:00pm  |  This event will take place rain or shine.

Travel around the world in a day at this fun family event! Pack your passport and explore places near and far with hands-on art activities, games, and music. Your journey also will include special performances and refreshments. 

Free admission

Activities: Creating paper pyramids, Great Barrier Reef salt paintings, Nazca Lines scratch art, pastel Northern Lights, clay sculptures of the Gardens of Babylon, and St. Basil's Cathedral Collages; Stonehenge building blocks, Statue of Liberty Oxidation Station, Mount Fuji Reflections with Literacy Mid-South, seek and find works of art, a Plants of the World station, and garden tours

Art demonstrations: Funlola's Workshop, Ms. D's marbled art, and piñatas by Maria Sebastian

Special performances: music by Sean Murphy, Mexican dance by Herencia Hispana, Ehru and Taiji Quan demonstrations with Milan Vigil, Indian classic dance by Indian Jewels, and 'Meet Eugenia Errázuriz and her family' with Showagon from Theatre Memphis
