Over the past fifty years, the Westmoreland Museum of American Art has assembled a collection of works by significant American artists, concentrating on the mid-18th through the mid-20th centuries. Featuring works by Mary Cassatt, John Singer Sargent, and Winslow Homer, Picturing America showcases the signature works from the museum’s collections, from preeminent American artists of the Hudson River School to modernists such as Milton Avery.
