Pianist Oksana Poleshook describes how fountains, seascapes, lakes, and rivers, as part of water imagery, became indispensable subject-matter of the French Impressionists in the
late 19th century. French composers also explored the subject in their compositions while developing a unique music language. Seascapes in painting and music will be explored in this presentation using the paintings from the Dixon's permanent collection.
