Dixon Art Camp
In June 2026, the Dixon Gallery and Gardens, in partnership with Memphis Shelby County Schools, will host its annual Dixon Art Camp, a free week-long program for students in the community. The goals of the program are to reach students in the Memphis Shelby County Schools through creative experiences in the arts and horticulture; to engage families with their neighborhood museum, making it accessible and familiar; and to inspire students for future careers. Participants will explore and experience the arts through hands-on activities, visits from special guests, and showcasing collaborative artwork at the Dixon.
En junio de 2026, el Dixon Gallery and Gardens, en asociación con las escuelas del Memphis Shelby County Schools, organizará su campamento de verano anual, un programa gratuito de una semana para estudiantes de la comunidad. Los objetivos del programa son: llegar a los estudiantes de las escuelas de Memphis Shelby County Schools a través de experiencias creativas en las artes y la horticultura; involucrar a las familias con el museo de su barrio, haciéndolo accesible y familiar; e inspirar a los estudiantes en sus futuras carreras. Week 1: June 15-19, 9:00am - 3:00pm
Week 2: June 22-26, 9:00 am-3:00 pm
Camp is replicated the second week with a new group of campers.

How: Complete the form below to apply. Participation will be determined through a lottery system. Spaces are limited. Acceptance is not guaranteed. If accepted, you will be contacted via email to confirm and complete your registration.
Dixon Art Camp is offered to Current K-7th grade students attending Memphis Shelby County Schools, with application priority to Dixon neighborhood schools (Willow Oaks, Sherwood Elementary, Sherwood Middle, Colonial Middle, Sharpe Elementary, Sea Isle, South Park). Please note that this only includes schools in the Memphis Shelby County Schools district and does not include charter, private, or home schools.
