Art on the Rocks is a uniquely Memphis evening.
Art on the Rocks is the Dixon's annual summer tasting event, bringing together local restaurants, breweries, beverage makers, and entertainers for an unforgettable evening in the gardens. Spend the night sampling craft beer, botanical cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages while enjoying bites from Memphis favorites, live music, interactive experiences, and after-hours access to the gardens. It’s a 21-and-up night built for lingering: good drinks, good food, and good company under the trees.

2026 Theme: Back to the '70s
Every Art on the Rocks has a theme worth dressing for - come in costume or come as you are! The Dixon was founded in 1976, making this year's Art on the Rocks a celebration of the museum's 50th anniversary. Join us as we travel back to the decade that started it all with a colorful tribute to the 1970s.
Dust off your tie-dye, flared pants, bold prints, platform shoes, or your favorite disco-inspired look, and celebrate an unforgettable evening of food, drinks, music, and community in true '70s style.

Free parking is located at the University of Memphis South Campus entrance at Goodlett and Park Avenue.
For GPS, use this address:

We will have a FREE shuttle taking guests directly to the party. Dixon employees will be directing traffic; please be patient.
Ride-share, ADA, Vendor, and Sponsor parking will be located at the Dixon's main entrance at 4339 Park Avenue.
Can I park in the neighborhood by the Dixon?
We strongly recommend taking full advantage of the free shuttle service, but street parking is allowed.
All rideshare pick-ups and drop-offs are centralized at the Dixon front gate, located at 4339 Park Ave, across from Cherry Rd.
Rideshare drivers should:
- Turn into Dixon Gallery and Gardens
- Proceed to the designated drop-off/pick-up area
You can request your rideshare before the end of the evening due to heavy post-event traffic and high demand.
Sponsor, Vendor, and ADA Parking:
ADA parking is available on the Dixon grounds at 4339 Park Avenue. Please note that Art on the Rocks may include areas that have rocky, uneven terrain. We cannot guarantee that all spaces will be accessible to you.

Sponsors should have received a parking pass with their tickets; this pass will allow you to park on the Dixon property. If you did not receive this pass, please contact Dorothy Svgdik at dsvgdik@dixon.org.
