Art on the Rock…
Drinks, Flavor, and 1970s Flair: Art on the Rocks 2026
The Dixon turned back the clock for Art on the Rocks, an evening filled with art, imaginative drinks, delicious food, and plenty of 1970s-inspired style. Guests arrived dressed in their grooviest tie-dye, prints, and vintage looks, bringing the theme to life throughout the museum and gardens.
Guests explored the galleries, hung out up with friends over cocktails, and enjoyed a lively and colorful way to experience the Dixon after hours. Local restaurants, caterers, and beverage partners served an exciting selection of bites and drinks, showcasing the creativity of Memphis’ culinary community.
Shaking Things Up: The Drink Competition
One of the evening’s highlights was the Art on the Rocks drink competition. Participating mixologists put their creativity to the test, crafting original cocktails that were as memorable as they were delicious. Each drink brought something different to the competition, from unexpected ingredients and bold flavors to playful presentations inspired by the evening’s theme.
After the drinks were sampled and the votes were counted, there are a few vendors to congratulate!
After the votes were counted, Art Bar earned the award for best cocktail, Bubblegum Princess, AND for best mocktail, Princess Mocktail, and Grind City, with Gator Patrol, was named the beer competition winner. Congratulations to both winners—and thank you to every participant who brought creative flavors and a little friendly competition to the evening!
Celebrating with a Purpose
Art on the Rocks is more than a great party. Funds raised through the event support the Dixon’s art and horticulture programs, helping the museum and gardens remain a vibrant and welcoming destination for the Memphis community.
Support from Art on the Rocks helps the Dixon care for its art collection, galleries, gardens, and grounds while continuing to offer exhibitions, educational opportunities, and programs for visitors of all ages. By attending, sponsoring, or participating in the event, guests and community partners play an important role in helping the Dixon continue its mission and share meaningful experiences centered on art and horticulture.
