Designed for ages 10–13, Youth Workshops invite young artists to explore new materials, techniques, and creative ideas through hands-on projects inspired by the Dixon’s art collection. Each workshop provides guided instruction while encouraging participants to experiment and develop their own artistic style.

Sculpture Workshop

SATURDAY, AUGUST 22 | 1:30-3:30 PM

Learn about positive and negative space as you explore additive and subtractive techniques for sculpting in clay. Bring your own creative designs to life using both techniques. Participants will take home two small, unfired clay sculptures.

Scale It Up! Workshop

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 | 1:30-3:30 PM

Ever wonder how to transform a tiny sketch into something huge, like a mural? Learn traditional techniques to scale up your artwork! Draw a little inspiration from the Dixon’s personal collection and make it bigger.
