Ongoing Programs:

NEW! Sprouts (12-24 months)

Thursdays, 10:30am – 11:30am  |  Members free; $8 non-members

Look, listen, walk, talk, touch, smell, sing, discover! This interactive program for toddlers and their caregivers explores the Dixon with all the senses, building social and motor skills, encouraging creative play, and having a ton of fun.

Mini Masters (ages 2-4)

Every Tuesday  |  10:30am  11:15am  |  Free for Members; $8 for non-members

This parent-child workshop is designed for toddlers to explore, shape, texture, color, and other sensory possibilities through art making. Each Tuesday offers a fun learning experience for you and your child, which includes a story time, hands-on art activity, and snack.

Kaleidoscope Club (ages 5-9)

Wednesdays, 4:00pm – 5:00pm  |  Members free; $8 non-members

For younger artists, Kaleidoscope Club offers a perfect mix of everything the Dixon has to offer. Each week we will begin a project that is meant to spark creativity and critical thinking. Whether it is horticulture, art, or literature, your child will surely exercise his or her imagination. Snack provided.

NEW! -ology (ages 10-13)

Sew-ology (ages 10-13)
Saturdays, October 26, November 2 and 9
1:30pm – 4:00pm

From creating felted friends to designing fashion accessories, sewing is your ticket to unlimited adventures! For new or seasoned stitchers, sew-ology will explore the world of sewing from hand-stitching to making with a machine. Over the course of this series, young -ologists create projects both practical and fun!

Must be able to attend all three sessions. Supplies and snack included.

Family Studio (all ages)

First Saturdays of the month

Bring the whole family to Family Studio, where everyone can create unique works of art, open studio-style. The first Saturday of every month there will be family-friendly projects and a large assortment of supplies.

Can’t Stop the Feeling Family Day 
Saturday, November 16, 2019, 5:00pm – 8:00pm

Cut loose and express yourself at a Family Day like no other! This fun-filled event will get you makin’ and shakin’, movin’ and groovin’, diggin’, dreamin’, snackin’, and more!  Explore and create with hands-on, activities, inspiring demonstrations, and expressive performances for all ages.

Girl Scout Badges at the Dixon

Dixon Gallery and Gardens and Girl Scouts Heart of the South have teamed up to make it easy and fun to earn a variety of badges at the Daisy, Brownie, Junior, and Cadette levels. Bring your troop to learn about subjects from painting to gardening while enjoying everything the Dixon has to offer. Girl Scout Badge workshops meet all requirements for the badge. *Troop leaders are responsible for providing badges.

Daisies: 1.5 hours
Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes: 2 hours

Cost (includes supplies):
Workshop for 5-15 participants: $75; additional participants: $5 per child (maximum 20 participants)
