Ongoing Programs: 

Sprouts (12-24 months)

Onsite starting September 2
Thursdays, 10:30am – 11:30am

This interactive program for toddlers and their caregivers explores all the senses.

Mini Masters (ages 2-4)

Onsite starting September 7
Tuesdays, 10:30am – 11:15am

Introduce your little ones to the arts and nature with crafts, movement, and more.

Kaleidoscope Club (ages 5-9)

Wednesdays, 4:00pm – 5:00pm
*Registration closes Tuesday at 3:00pm 

Each week participants will enjoy a project that sparks creativity and critical thinking. Whether it is horticulture, art, or literature, your child will surely exercise their imagination.

-ology (ages 10-13)

Saturdays, 1:30pm – 3:00pm
*Registration closes Fridays at 3:00pm.

-ology provides young people with a chance to discover new creative interests and build on social, critical thinking, art-making, and community skills.

Kids in the Garden (ages 7-10)

Second Saturdays, 10:30am – 12:00pm

This fun, hands-on gardening workshop teaches kids the basics about horticulture and the flora around them.

Teen Workshop: Intro to Cinematography
with Indie Memphis (ages 14-18)

Saturday, September 25, 1:00 – 4:00pm

This new teen program follows a different theme each workshop while exploring materials, techniques, and careers in art. In September, teens will go behind the camera in a hands-on film workshop with Indie Memphis. This engaging introduction to cinematography will take a closer look at the lights, camera, and action of this unique career in movie making. No experience necessary.

Girl Scout Badges at the Dixon

Dixon Gallery and Gardens and Girl Scouts Heart of the South have teamed up to make it easy and fun to earn a variety of badges at the Daisy, Brownie, Junior, and Cadette levels. Bring your troop to learn about subjects from painting to gardening while enjoying everything the Dixon has to offer. Girl Scout Badge workshops meet all requirements for the badge. *Troop leaders are responsible for providing badges.

Duration:
Daisies: 1.5 hours
Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes: 2 hours

Cost (includes supplies):
Workshop for 5-10 participants: $75

Pets Family Day (virtual)

SATURDAY, August 21
VIRTUAL | ACTIVITIES BEGIN AT 10:00AM 

Taking care of something you love is an important part of life. Pets teach us so much about how to grow as people. Celebrate pets of all kinds, plant, animal, rock, or imaginary beast! Join the Dixon for a day of virtual pet-themed activities and experiences for everyone.

Activities will be LIVE at www.dixon.org/familyday at 10:00am. 

Family Studio (all ages)

Planned to resume in 2021. 

Bring the whole family to Family Studio, where everyone can create unique works of art, open studio-style. A large assortment of supplies is available.
